Nottingham Forest youngster Brennan Johnson enjoyed a night to remember as he scored his first senior goal during a 2-0 win for Lincoln City over Plymouth Argyle.
The youngster is to spend the 2020/21 campaign on loan at the Imps and helped them continue their impressive start to the season.
Jorge Grant fired Lincoln into the lead from the penalty spot before Johnson wrapped things up with 22 minutes remaining.
Johnson has already made eight appearances for the Forest senior ranks but was finding it hard work to break into Sabri Lamouchi’s team.
With that in mind, the club anticipated that a loan spell would be best for his development.
Lincoln had Tyler Walker on loan last season and the League One outfit have a knack of getting the best out of younger players.
Johnson, 19 can operate as a central midfielder, as a number 10 or on the right-wing, making him an extremely versatile option.
Following his performance at Sincil Bank last night their supporters took to Twitter to rave about the on-loan Forest man.
Supporters will hope he continues to play plenty of football out on loan with the prospect of challenging for a place in Chris Hughton’s first team next season.
Here is a selection of Tweets about the youngster following his latest performance.
