Nottingham Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at the City Ground but a dogged Rotherham United outfit; and after the game supporters were quick to praise the performance of Sammy Ameobi.
The Reds winger tapped home a deserved equaliser for Forest after the Millers had taken the lead through a Dan Barlaser penalty early in the second half.
Ameobi is proving himself to be a man for the big occasion. He stepped up at the City Ground last night, with the 28-year-old thoroughly deserving his goal for some serious endeavour.
The winger worked his socks off last night as the Reds missed a whole host of gilt-edged chances to put their opposition to bed and claim another three points.
Forest signed Anthony Knockaert last week. If Chris Hughton is going to throw him straight into the starting eleven on Friday night, he will have a big job deciding who to drop.
Joe Lolley also played well last night and both Forest wingers have helped the Reds gain important points during the last two matches.
Following Ameobi’s energetic display we had a look at what supporters were saying about the forward on Twitter.
Special shoutout goes to Arter Lolley and Ameobi tonight, all three were superb 🥰😍 #NFFC

Grosicki and Knockhaert can't come any sooner, some pace on the wings is needed but Ameobi was great tonight, main problem was midfield, I just hope Hughton quickly realises Colback, Freeman and Yates doesn't work as a trio because they can't control games #NFFC

Want to see knockaert as much as the next fan. But dropping Ameobi or Lolley (unless completely on their arses after 2 quick games) would be criminal. Both been class. Can potentially see an introduction off the bench. #nffc
