Serdar Dursun was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest during the summer and he enjoyed a weekend to remember as he helped Darmstadt to a 2-2 draw against St Pauli.
The uncompromising striker was linked with a move to the City Ground, whilst Derby County were also trying to sign the player too.
Dursun did eventually stay in the Bundesliga.2 though and will now hope to keep scoring goals to potentially get a move to England further down the line.

He has taken some time to get going during 2020/21 and failed to score during his first three outings in all competitions.
Dursun got himself off the mark last week with a goal during a 3-2 win over Nuremberg and following it up with a brace this weekend.
The interest from Forest clearly came on the back of his form last season. Dursun fired 19 goals and registered six assists despite a pretty ordinary season for Darmstadt.
Since the link to the City Ground emerged the Reds have changed their manager, replacing Sabri Lamouchi with Chris Hughton.

The new boss has made it clear that no players will be signed without his approval and it’ll be interesting to see if Dursun is still a target.
A 29-year-old old, the striker has experience playing in Germany and Turkey and he would be a risky signing.

Hughton has enjoyed some success with uncompromising strikers in the past though and that might make Dursun ideal.
Glenn Murray, Tomer Hemed and Andy Carroll have all thrived under Hughton and Dursun could have a similar impact under Hughton if he is targeted in January.

Forest have Lewis Grabban, Lyle Taylor and Miguel Angel Guerrero in their ranks at present.
Grabban has recently been attracting interest from Qatar and if that interest is revived in January, the Reds could be in the market for another striker.
