Nottingham Forest midfielder Harry Arter has told Nottinghamshire Live that the squad is excited at the challenge of putting more points on the board.
The Reds are languishing towards the bottom of the Championship at the moment; following just one win in seven games during the 2020/21 campaign.
A new manager is at the helm now though and some small steps have been made under Chris Hughton.

Forest are unbeaten in three matches beating Blackburn and claiming draws against Rotherham and Derby County.
Arter started for the first time under Hughton on Friday night and he says his teammates are relishing the challenges ahead.
He told Nottinghamshire Live: “We need to try to aim to get ourselves as far up the table as we can and stay unbeaten for as long as we can.
“With such a short space of time in between the games, a run of wins or a run of a few draws and wins can really put you up there.

“Everyone is really excited for that challenge.”
Arter was an eye-catching signing in the summer for the Reds arriving from Bournemouth.
Leader
He was influential at Fulham last season as they won promotion to the Premier League after winning the play-off final.
Despite his Forest career being in its infancy, he already looks like holding down a regular place in Hughton’s team – with his experience likely to be key.

Many supporters have touted Arter as a potential captain and that might be a role he picks up further down the line.
Forest need more than one leader in the dressing room though and others will need to step up.
Luton will provide the Reds with a tough test tomorrow and if Forest don’t want their season to fizzle out before it’s begun, a run of wins needs to happen sooner rather than later.
