Nottingham Forest have seen their appeal over the signing of Kamil Grosicki rejected by the EFL, according to The Telegraph.

The Reds submitted paperwork to sign the Polish winger 21 seconds after the deadline earlier this month.

Forest had launched an appeal to get Grosicki over line after only being given permission to speak with the West Brom man late on deadline day.

Forest have won just one of their eight fixtures so far this season and signing another proven Championship player would have been useful.

Now, Chris Hughton will have to go with what he has at his disposal – until January at the very least.

Forest did get a deal to sign Anthony Knockaert over the line during the window and that will at least delight the boss.

The Reds might go back in for the Baggies star in January as another proven Championship option.

Grosicki helped Slaven Bilic’s team to promotion last season but has fallen down the pecking order.

Following this morning’s news, Forest fans have been reaction to the update from reports.
