Nottingham Forest youngster Will Swan took his tally to eight goals for the 2020/21 campaign with a brace during a 3-0 win over Colchester United last night.
The 20-year-old is in a rich vein of form in Andy Reid’s team and on current form he could be on the right path towards stardom.
Forest currently have Lewis Grabban nursing a hip problem, with Lyle Taylor and Miguel Angel Guerrero battling it out for a place in the team.
Swan is perhaps handing Chris Hughton some food for thought and supporters are asking the question of whether a promotion could be on the horizon in the coming weeks.

With such a quick turnaround between games at the moment, injuries and fatigue are bound to set in.
Forest have a proud history of producing talented young players and Swan is the latest to draw attention.
Swan spent some time on loan with Truro City as he was coming through the ranks, scoring a few goals before returning to the City Ground.
He is clearly thriving in Reid’s team this season and is relishing the chance to impress the right people.
It doesn’t seem likely that a call-up to Hughton’s squad will be imminent given how raw he is.
Another injury to a forward option might force the boss’ hand, however and Swan will need to be ready.
At 20, Swan is intelligent, thrives on making things happen in the box and is energetic out of possession.

The more goals he continues to score the more he will attract the attention of the Forest boss.
All he can do is continue scoring goals and who knows what might happen as the season progresses further.
Forest supporters will hope the pathway to first-team stardom is clear for Swan.
