Nottingham Forest claimed a vital three points thanks to a Lyle Taylor penalty six minutes into stoppage time.
The Reds took the lead in the first half through Scott McKenna with Chris Hughton’s men well on top in the opening 45.
What was served up in the second half was largely disappointing, however, but Forest won’t care one bit.
Coventry were well worth a point and in fairness, they should have claimed all three.
One man who did impress for the Reds was midfielder Samba Sow – given a rare chance to impress Hughton.
The 31-year-old was booked early doors but did maintain his composure and played exceptionally well in the first half.
Sow cost Forest £640,000 in the summer of 2019 and when he is fit he is a real asset for the Reds.
Supporters took to Twitter to speak of his performance after a game of two halves.
Forest have Wycombe to come at home on Saturday and they need to use this win as a catalyst to kick on.
It was Sow who stole the show though and fans will hope he keeps his place on Saturday.
