Nottingham Forest beat Wycombe 2-0 at the City Ground yesterday and after the contest midfielder Jack Colback earned praise from the club’s supporters.
The Reds headed into the international break with 12 points to their name from just seven games overseen by Chris Hughton, giving them a platform to build from.
Forest were largely comfortable against the Chairboys and a Lyle Taylor brace ensured a second win of the week for the Reds.
Plenty of positives emerged from the game and one of those was the performance of Colback.

The 31-year-old hasn’t enjoyed the best of starts to his third spell on Trentside – although that’s perhaps to be expected.
He wasn’t named in Newcastle’s 25-man squad last season and also suffered an injury which stopped him featuring for the under-23 ranks to keep his fitness up.
Colback has played 10 times this season but before yesterday had failed to scale the heights that he had shown during two previous loan spells.
The Forest captain looked the part yesterday though and performed his duties extremely well.
Following the 2-0 win and a return to form for Colback, supporters took to Twitter to speak about the Reds star.
Here is what supporters were saying about the midfield maestro.
Much better today. Taylor superb. Colback I thought was an unsung hero but what a signing McKenna is turning out to be. Christie also much better. #NFFC

Taylor and Guerrero looked very decent indeed, Ameobi was lively, Colback controlled things nicely for much of the game and the defence looked much more solid. Well done all. #nffc

3 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat for CH. Not a bad start considering how poor we've been in some games. Can see the fitness levels increasing (Colback key example today), and Hughton will now there's at least another 2 gears in this squad #NFFC

A lot of them have been short of game time & match fitness tbf. Colback prime example & getting better every game. Christie, Arter, Knockaert, Taylor, Sow etc. All either bench warming or injured for months etc. Taylor looks like a top signing 🔥
