Nottingham Forest talent Brennan Johnson scored for Lincoln City as they won 6-2 in the FA Cup – and afterwards received a message of congratulations from a Liverpool star.
The 19-year-old has been in fine form for the Imps. Yesterday he netted his second goal for the club during a comprehensive win over Forest Green Rovers.
Johnson is really settling into men’s football at the LNER Stadium, having already made eight appearances for the Forest first-team.
The Wales international has also claimed four assists this season, operating on both flanks and through the middle as either a forward or a midfielder.
Johnson received a message from an international teammate after his latest goal.
Liverpool defender Neco Williams took to Instagram to rave about the in-form Forest man.

His form out on loan hasn’t escaped the attention of his Forest teammates either.
Lyle Taylor secured a 2-0 win for Forest yesterday but he also took time out to rave about Johnson.

Johnson might only be a teenager but he is quickly showing the attributes that could make him a future star.
The Reds player is yet to earn a regular chance on Trentside but he looks set for stardom at some point.
Forest have a proud history with their young talents and Johnson could be ready to make an impact next season.
The fact he is playing in a number of different positions with his loan club can only bode well.

Playing regularly is clearly paying dividends for the youngster and he’ll get even better the more he plays.
Forest fans will watch on with intrigue for the rest of this season – as will Chris Hughton and his staff.
