Nottingham Forest are among a host of Championship clubs keen to sign Lincoln City midfielder Jorge Grant during the January transfer window.
The Reds allowed the player to sign for the Imps permanently in the summer of 2019, following successful loan spells at Notts County, Luton and Mansfield Town.
He has matured as a player at the LNER Stadium and is in the form of his life right now.
During 2020/21 so far he has scored eight goals and registered six assists, captaining the side to a lofty league position.

He has played as a central midfielder or on the left wing this season, proving a standout performer in Michael Appleton’s team.
His form hasn’t gone unnoticed either. TeamTalk claims that Forest, Swansea, Norwich, Reading and Brentford are all keen to sign the 25-year-old.
Grant played 20 games for the Reds, rising through the ranks as a promising youngster.
He never managed a regular run of games though and was allowed to leave permanently last summer.
Chris Hughton will be busy learning about his squad and it seems likely he will enter the transfer market again in January.
Forest’s squad is on the large side and some players will surely leave when the window reopens too.
Grant scored once and registered two assists during his first spell at the City Ground.
The Verdict – Grant addition would be an intriguing one
There is certainly lots of potential down in the lower leagues and Grant is proving himself to be very capable indeed.
The reports suggest Forest are busy watching Grant but ultimately some people at the club will know all about the midfielder.

Given that the 25-year-old has developed well it’s certainly a signing that could make lots of sense.
He know the club, would have a point to prove and would surely welcome the chance to play in the Championship.
Watch this space but if Grant continues in his rich vein of form, Forest might be wise to pounce.
