With the help of Who Scored, Nottingham Forest News looked at the top five Reds stars when it comes to making clearances so far this season.

5) Yuri Ribeiro (7)

Remarkable really considering the Portuguese star has only played four games this season.

He has, however, helped Forest to two wins before the international break, highlighting what he can offer Chris Hughton’s team.

Ribeiro was a standout performer last season and many fans are hopeful that he will now continue in the team.

4) Ryan Yates (16)

Nobody divides opinion among the City Ground fanbase quite like the academy graduate.

It’s fair to say he’s done alright when called upon this season though, with his battling qualities there for all to see.

Yates is still improving all the time and after the international break he will hope to get back into the team, having started the last two games on the bench.

3) Cyrus Christie (17)

Another player who some Forest fans seemingly love to hate it the former Derby County player.

Christie created a superb assist on Saturday for Lyle Taylor to head home and he is working tirelessly to improve his consistency.

The on-loan right-back could arguably improve the defensive side of his game, although these statistics highlight some quality at least.

2) Scott McKenna (22)

The Scotland international has arguably been Forest’s signing of the season so far.

Signed from Aberdeen he has quickly become an integral part of Hughton’s team, bringing quality and balance to the back four.

He has only played eight matches for the Reds but already looks like becoming a Championship star at the City Ground.

1) Tobias Figueiredo (45)

Some supporters might view this one as a shock with many questioning whether he deserves a place in the team.

On the evidence of this statistics, however, the Portuguese ace does, making more than double the amount of clearances than anyone else.

Figueiredo is a solid performer on his day and he will hope to keep his place in the team when Joe Worrall returns from his foot problem.
