Nottingham Forest starlet Brennan Johnson made his Wales debut last night and afterwards drew praise from Forest stars, an Arsenal talent and David Beckham on Instagram.

The youngster stepped off the bench in the second half as a relatively inexperienced Wales drew 0-0 with the USA.

Johnson is currently on loan at Lincoln City where he is improving with every game at the League One outfit.

Wales will be at the European Championships next summer and Johnson will hope to earn his place in the squad.

After last night’s game, the 19-year-old spoke of his pride and received praise from, among others, Lyle Taylor and Arsenal youngster Harry Clarke.

Beckham has previously comments on Johnson’s social media and the England hero was quick to congratulate the youngster again.

Some eyebrows were raised when Forest allowed Johnson to head out on loan this summer.

Lincoln seems like the ideal club for the youngster though and he will hope to continue improving.

Johnson has scored twice and registered four assists, playing either out wide or in the No.10 role.

Johnson is clearly a respected figure and also received Instagram congratulations from Loic Mbe Soh and Alex Mighten.

The academy graduate has already played eight games for the Reds and never let anyone down when called upon.

Johnson has a bright future ahead of him and supporters will hope he gets another chance to establish himself next season.

The youngster will spend the season and the LNER Stadium and on current form, he will return a much better player.

There is more to come from Johnson and hopefully, it won’t be too long before he’s given a proper crack in the Forest team.
