Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor has enjoyed an emotional embrace with Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa on Instagram.
Taylor scored twice to ensure Akinfenwa was on the losing team at the City Ground on Saturday.
With the dust now firmly settled, the 30-year-old has taken to Instagram to send an emotional message to the man he goes way back with.
Taylor and Akinfenwa were strike partners at AFC Wimbledon earlier in their careers, helping the Dons to League One during the 2015/16 campaign.
Both strikers scored in the 2-0 play-off final victory over Plymouth and clearly have a lot of respect for each other.

During the 2015/16 campaign, Taylor fired 23 goals and ultimately earned himself a move to Charlton.
Scoring a similar haul this season might be ambitious but it certainly won’t be through a lack of trying.
He managed 11 last season for the Addicks despite missing a chunk of the campaign through injury.
The challenge for Taylor will be to chase down that total and then push for more to fire Forest up the division.

It has taken the striker some time to get going but he now has four for the campaign since getting off the mark against Derby last month.
Forest signed a lot of players during the summer but Taylor ticked all the boxes as a quality addition to the Reds’ ranks.
He is proven at Forest’s level, works his socks off and already seems to care about doing well for the football club.
The challenge for Taylor after the international break will be to pick up where he has left off and continue firing Forest up the division.
