Nottingham Forest stars were put through their paces yesterday during a training game and supporters were intrigued to see Zach Clough involved.
Two teams were managed by Chris Hughton and Andy Reid; with one team wearing the red home strip and the other donning the blue away kit.
The club put some photos from the contest on Twitter as the team in the blue strip ran out 2-1 winners at the club’s training facility.
It was the image of Clough that drew the most interest, however, with the player firmly in the wilderness.

The 25-year-old arrived from Bolton for £2.5 million back in 2017.
He originally looked like a decent acquisition, scoring four goals and registering two assists during the second half of 2016/17.
Since then he has fallen way off the radar and hasn’t played for the first-team since January 2018.
After yesterday’s sighting some fans have shown sympathy towards the player’s situation.
Clough has endured a rough time of things at the City Ground and seemingly won’t move on until his contract comes to an end.
Here is a selection of Tweets from Forest supporters after the forward plays in the latest training game.
Can’t have impressed they subbed him off, all other fringe players & youngsters were given a whole game. Shame coz he started well when he first arrived

Gotta feel for the lad. Came in to the club with a bright future and just got thrown to the side. Should be letting him go- could be a really important player for a smaller championship or league 1 club.

Something will come out about him in the press or someone's autobiography at some point then we'll know why he dropped out of favour for no apparent reason. Like with Murphy and Hefele #nffc

Fair play to Hughton for including him. Hate to see players treated like lepers, even if he's not going to play.
