Nottingham Forest were beaten yet again this time to Norwich City who ran out 2-1 winners at Carrow Road.

The Reds did end their barren run without a goal when Anthony Knockaert curled home a delicious strike just moments after coming off the bench.

Jacob Sorensen scored for Norwich in first-half injury time, firing home after Forest failed to clear their lines.

In the 73rd minute, Knockaert scored his first goal for the Reds, curling a delightful ball into the box which escaped the attention of everyone including Michael McGovern in the Norwich goal.

Four minutes later Forest were behind though. Emi Buendia shot was heading wide before it caught Joe Worrall’s leg and nestled in the bottom corner.

Forest huffed and puffed and with more of a cutting edge might have earned a share of the spoils.

The reality is, however, that they remain deep in the relegation mire with promotion favourites Brentford to come on Saturday.

For the first time in over seven hours of action, Forest supporters did at least see their team score a goal – albeit on the TV.

Knockaert has deserved a goal for his efforts in recent weeks and he’ll hope to now kick on.

Here is what fans were saying after Knockaert’s strike.
