Nottingham Forest beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at the City Ground to put some daylight between them and the Owls in the battle to avoid relegation.
The Reds won thanks to an early goal from Yuri Ribeiro and a late strike by the returning Lewis Grabban.
Forest were comfortable in victory and made light work of a hapless Wednesday side who are staring League One in the face.
Following a vastly improved performance we looked at the players and rated their performance out of 10.
Brice Samba – 7
Had very little to do but came for a good cross in the first half and his distribution was decent.
Cyrus Christie – 7
A poor first half but came back strong in the second to get forward well.
Joe Worrall – 8
He did everything he had to with minimal fuss and his public pep talk seemed to pay off after an improved performance.
Loic Mbe Soh – 8
A good performance by the youngster who grew into the game. Does look a little clumsy aerially but he will get better.
Yuri Ribeiro – 8
His best game since returning to the team and a goal for his efforts. Excellent.

Samba Sow – 9
Wow. Forest should let Sow put his feet up until it comes to travelling down to London to face Millwall on Saturday. A truly stunning performance.
Ryan Yates – 7
Broke things up quite nicely but was occasionally wasteful in possession.
Alex Mighten – 8
A quality performance from the trickster who belied his tender years with a mature performance. Full of tricks.
Cafu – 9
Class from the man on loan from Portugal. His passing was good, he showed determination and never stopped running throughout. Claimed an assist for the first goal.
Sammy Ameobi – 9
Another standout performer, Ameobi was far more like the player Forest fans knew and loved last season.

Lyle Taylor- 7
Worked hard, ran himself into the ground but took an early knock and that seemed to knock him out of sorts a bit.
Substitutions
Lewis Grabban (Taylor) – 8
The bagsman is back! Grabban came on in the second half and was rewarded with a first goal of the season.
