Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton has recently claimed that defender Tendayi Darikwa could leave – and supporters have been reacting.

The Reds right-back hasn’t played since March 2019 and missed the whole of last season through a serious knee injury.

Darikwa singed for Forest in 2017 for £1 million from Burnley.

He has proved a relatively shrewd addition and was starting to play his best football before injury struck.

The Zimbabwe international has 63 times for Forest in total but it seems unlikely that he’ll feature again.

If a club is forthcoming this month then Darikwa could head out of the club.

He is out of contract in the summer and at this stage is unlikely to sign a new deal.

Forest supporters believe Darikwa has been desperately unlikely and have taken to Twitter.

Many feel he is better than current options Cyrus Christie and Carl Jenkinson who are ahead of him in the pecking order.

There is perhaps some suggestion, however, that he perhaps isn’t completely over the knee injury which robbed him of nine months.

Hughton has confirmed, however, that he is training well, despite the fact he hasn’t been part of his squad.

Here is what supporters are saying about the news that Forest could let Darikwa leave this month.
