Nottingham Forest secured a superb 3-1 win over Millwall and afterwards, supporters took to Twitter to rave about Alex Mighten.

The 18-year-old flyer was handed a rare start and he didn’t disappoint boss Chris Hughton.

Supporters have been up in arms about a lack of game time for the academy graduate this season.

The penny does appear to be dropping for the manager now though and Mighten should expect plenty more opportunities in the coming months.

Forest won the game courtesy of a brace from Sammy Ameobi and a goal from Ryan Yates.

Ben Thompson’s late goal ruined Forest’s hopes of a clean sheet. On the whole, however, it was a sound performance.

Mighten enjoyed a solid performance on the left-hand side and his ability to roam around gave Millwall nightmares.

The youngster scored his first goal for the club in the reverse fixture in December but had to settle for an assist here.

His neat one-two with Sammy Ameobi allowed the former Bolton man to lash an unstoppable effort beyond Bartosz Bialkowski.

After his heroics yesterday, supporters were quick to laud the academy star on Twitter.

Here is what the Forest fan base were saying about the performance of Mighten.
