Filip Krovinovic is set to join Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the 2020/21 campaign, according to John Percy of The Telegraph.
The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at West Brom and Benfica are now prepared to send him on loan to Forest.
Krovinovic scored four goals and claimed three assists as the Baggies won promotion to the Premier League last season.
The creative spark has played 11 times for the Croatia under-21 team and also 28 first-team appearance for Benfica to his name.

At 25, Krovinovic is yet to reach his peak and will lower the average age of the squad somewhat.
Last season the midfielder played 43 times as West Brom came second to Leeds United.
His numbers weren’t superb by any means but he was playing week in and week out for a successful team.
The report claims that Krovinovic is due in Nottingham later today and an announcement could be made later today.
The versatile midfield player won’t be eligible to play tomorrow having already played for the Baggies in round three of the FA Cup.
What will Krovinovic bring to the City Ground?
The man who spent a lot of time playing as a No.10 last season has a superb range of passing, sublime vision and is also capable of scoring goals.
With Forest currently in the middles of an injury crisis in midfield, his arrival on Trentside is timely.

Krovinovic won’t have been every supporters first choice this month but he’s a welcome addition to the final third.
Cafu has done a job in the No.10 role but it’s all too apparent that it’s not a natural position to him.
With Luke Freeman on the way back to full fitness and Krovinovic set to be added to the ranks, things look a lot rosier in attack for the Reds.
