Nottingham Forest have been linked with Dan Gosling from Bournemouth – and Chris Hughton is a big fan.
The Forest boss signed the midfielder during his time in charge of Newcastle United.
He captured him from Everton in 2010 and he went onto play 36 times for the Magpies.
Now, eleven years down the line, Hughton is keen to reunite with the Cherries maestro at the City Ground.

Forest are 20th in the Championship and desperately need a lift from somewhere if they are to climb the table.
Back in 2010 when he completed the signing, Hughton offered some thoughts on what sort of player he’d signed.
He told the BBC: “We see him as a high-energy player and a player that can play from box-to-box, but he’s also a young player with experience, so he won’t be fazed by what is ahead of him.”
Gosling has played 192 times for Bournemouth, including starting seven matches this season.
He has over 180 Premier League appearances to his name and is a vastly experienced 30-year-old.
Should Forest pursue Gosling?
It’s hardly the most exciting link in the world but it might be another short-term fix that makes sense.
Forest are short of midfielders with Ryan Yates joining Jack Colback and Harry Arter in the treatment room.
The Reds are crying out for some younger blood, although Gosling’s energy might be a useful addition to the ranks.

Hughton will want to make his own mark on the Forest squad and Gosling is a player he has worked with previously.
The ex-Everton man has had some injury problems in the past, although he might be a risk worth taking given their injury predicament.
Only time will tell whether or not he can do a job for Forest.
