Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Barnsley yesterday and afterwards supporters raved about Filip Krovinovic.

The 25-year-old checked in from Benfica last week and was handed his debut against the Tykes at the City Ground.

In a pretty drab game, Krovinovic highlighted exactly why Chris Hughton chose to add him to his ranks.

In the first half he created two stunning chances for the Reds and should have registered an assist.

His pin-point passing ability to carve open the Barnsley defence left Forest fans hoping to see more of the on loan creative spark.

Krovinovic made 12 appearances on loan at West Brom earlier this season and also played 42 times for them last season.

He helped the Baggies to promotion during 2019/20 but his remit at Forest will be in stark contrast as they bid to pull clear of the relegation zone.

Krovinovic showcased more creative talents in 90 minutes yesterday than many players before him in the same position have all season.

His performance didn’t go unnoticed and despite a largely disappointing performance, Krovinovic earned praise.

Here is what Forest fans were saying about the Croatian after yesterday’s game.
