With the dust settling for Nottingham Forest following a crucial 2-1 win at Coventry City, Brice Samba in particular has been subjected to mass praise.

The 26-year-old couldn’t do much about Maxime Biamou’s goal, but was dominant in the air throughout, claiming everything, while also offering a calm presence.

Samba was also on hand to make a very good save from City’s Gustavo Hamer after he found space to fire a shot away from the edge of the box, keeping the Reds in the lead.

Samba, who was in the Championship Team of the Year last season, has endured some shaky moments this year – namely against Reading, when his blunder led to a straight red card for Ryan Yates after he handballed on the line.

However, ever since then, Samba has clearly knuckled down and has looked increasingly solid in recent weeks, so much so that it very much seems like he is back at his best.

This is a view that is shared by many Forest fans, especially after last night’s showing and while he couldn’t add to his seven clean sheets this term against Coventry, the fans are very happy with his current form.
