Nottingham Forest face Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon looking to kick on after their Tuesday win over Coventry City.

The Reds played well in periods in midweek but Chris Hughton will be seeking the complete performance.

Today, a trip to face the division’s bottom club gives Forest a strong chance – although the Chairboys shouldn’t be underestimated.

Ahead of today’s game, we look at the team which Hughton could pick.

In goal and back four

Brice Samba has been brilliant for a few weeks now and he will continue in goal for the Reds.

There could be one change at the back for Hughton this afternoon.

Yuri Ribeiro has now served a three-match suspension for his sending off against Middlesbrough and should start at left-back.

Cyrus Christie will play at right-back, with Joe Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo set to start at the heart of the back four.

Midfield

Jack Colback stepped off the bench on Tuesday to feature for the first time since November.

He looked in decent form and could be handed a first start for a few months at Adams Park.

Alongside him will be Manchester United youngster James Garner.

The central midfielder produced an eye-catching display in midweek and supporters will be keen to see more of him.

Cafu could drop to the bench this afternoon.

In attack

Filip Krovinovic looks like a shrewd loan signing and he’ll play as the No.10 behind Lewis Grabban.

The Forest talisman scored his third goal of the campaign against Coventry and was largely impressive throughout.

On the flanks there could be one change for the Reds.

Hughton admitted this week that Sammy Ameobi had taken a whack on his knee in the first-half on Tuesday and could miss out.

That could hand Joe Lolley a chance to impress from the right-hand flank, with Anthony Knockaert switching over to the left.

Here is how Forest’s team might look today:
