Nottingham Forest roared to their second win in succession with a 3-0 win over Wycombe – and afterwards, supporters raved about Anthony Knockaert.
The 29-year-old put the seal on the victory for Forest with a blistering effort after a neat Joe Lolley pass.
Forest were outstanding for large parts of the second half and thoroughly deserved their victory.
Glenn Murray scored twice during his first Forest start and Knockaert deserved his goal.
The on-loan Fulham man has taken plenty of stick from some supporters since his arrival but he deserved his goal for his sheer endeavour.
Knockaert now has three goals and three assists for the Reds and boss Chris Hughton has got the band back togehter.
Along with Murray and Gaetan Bong, Knockaert was an instrumental part of the team that won promotion at Brighton.
Clearly something is starting to click and yesterday’s win moved Forest up to third in the Championship form table.
Although the Reds still need to keep ticking the points off in their quest for survival, the signs are looking pretty good.
Following Knockaert’s performance yesterday, supporters took to Twitter.
Here is what they were saying about the forward’s showing at Adams Park.
