Nottingham Forest let Tendayi Darikwa join Wigan during January and last night he earned rave reviews on Twitter.
The Latics gave their survival bid an injection of life with a 1-0 win over Northampton Town in League One.
Darikwa helped his new club climb level on points with Bristol Rovers who sit just outside the relegation zone.
Wigan are experiencing some off-field issues at the moment and are battling to avoid a second successive relegation.

Darikwa has played six times for his new club as he bids to get his career back on track after a serious knee injury.
Wigan fans have been impressed with his performances so far and last night they had some kind words on Twitter.

Did Forest let Darikwa go too soon?
It has to be said that the time was probably right for the Zimbabwe international to head out elsewhere.
Playing football had become an urgent requirement after so long out with a knee injury.
Forest have Cyrus Christie and Carl Jenkinson ahead of him in the pecking order and his Forest deal was up in the summer.

With Christie only on loan, the Reds are probably going to have to look at signing a right-back in the summer.
Darikwa was always a steady performer for the Reds and it’ll probably delight supporters to hear that he appears to be doing well.
He signed for the club from Burnley for just £1 million and made 63 appearances for the Reds, scoring one goal.
