Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Bournemouth and afterwards, Joe Lolley sent Joe Worrall a comical message on Instagram.

The Reds defended valiantly at the City Ground, with the Cherries failing to have a shot on target.

Forest had a few chances to score and on another day might have claimed all three points.

Glenn Murray thought he had put the Reds in front in the second half but Ben Pearson hooked his header off the line.

After the game, Sky Sports awarded the Man of the Match accolade to Worrall for his defensive efforts.

Lolley was an unused substitute yesterday and he ribbed Worrall about the moment when he kicked the ball into his own face!

Worrall showcased yesterday exactly why Premier League clubs are reportedly keen to secure his services.

He headed and kicked everything at the back and alongside Tobias Figueiredo they made a pretty solid partnership.

At 23, Worrall is one of the Championship bright, young talents and with 115 appearances to his name he has bags of experience.

The academy graduate is by no means the finished article.

At times yesterday he was wayward with his passing and, as Lolley mentioned, proceeded to clear the ball into his own face at one point.

It’s perhaps no coincidence, however, that Forest’s run of one defeat in 11 league games as come with Worrall in the team.

If Chris Hughton had more players like the young defender in their team they wouldn’t go far wrong.

Yesterday he wore the armband and as a homegrown player he’s extremely popular with supporters.

There is more to come from Worrall and Forest supporters will hope he can be kept at the City Ground.
