Nottingham Forest were undeservedly beaten by Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, with Connor Roberts settling the tie three minutes from time.
The Reds were the better side throughout the tie but left South Wales ruing a glut of missed chances.
Lewis Grabban, Anthony Knockaert and James Garner all had strong chances to score but couldn’t find a way past Freddie Woodman.
Forest now have three games in quick succession and they’ll need to ensure they don’t dwell on this too long.
Following the game, we looked at the players’ performances and marked them out of 10.
Brice Samba – 6
Have very little to do and was powerless to prevent Roberts from thumping home a winner for the Swans.
Cyrus Christie – 5
Didn’t do enough to stop the cross which led to the goal and was pretty average defensively all night.
Tobias Figueiredo – 7
Another solid performance from the Portuguese player who looks to have rediscovered some confidence.
Joe Worrall – 7
Was a little off in a passing sense but defensively looked pretty good throughout the clash.
Yuri Ribeiro – 6
Could have done more to stop Roberts steaming in to put the hosts in front but did get forward pretty well.
Cafu – 8
A very impressive performance from the Portuguese midfielder – arguably his best in the red of Forest.
James Garner – 7
Enjoyed a really good first half and was quieter during the second. Nearly caught Woodman out with a floated effort with ten minutes remaining.
Anthony Knockaert – 7
Another solid showing from the Frenchman who struck the crossbar on the stroke of half-time.
Filip Krovinovic – 6
Played some neat passes and seemed to link up well with Knockaert throughout the clash. Perhaps should have stopped Roberts’ run ahead of the goal.
Joe Lolley – 6
A pretty quiet night for Lolley, although his direct style did cause Swansea some problems during the contest.
Lewis Grabban – 5
Didn’t cover himself in glory with a poor pass when Forest were countering three against one. Strangely seems to be struggling with a lack of confidence.
