It’s been a strange old season for Samba who has been forced to prove himself all over again in the Forest goal.

Some erratic form late last season and early this season had seen some Forest fans call for him to be replaced.

It’s fair to say the 26-year-old is now back to his best though.

Samba’s penalty save helped him to 10 clean sheets for the campaign and silenced his critics.

After arriving from Caen in the summer of 2019, he quickly established himself as the first choice goalkeeper.

Last season he made 15 clean sheets in all competitions during a strong start to life in English football.

Following his heroics yesterday, supporters took to Twitter to rave about Forest’s influential goalkeeper.
