Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Derby County at Pride Park and afterwards, supporters raved about James Garner.

The Reds went in front on 33 minutes after Garner’s left-footed effort squirmed under Rams stopper David Marshall.

A late Colin Kazim-Richards strike meant that Forest had to settle for a single point but Garner was the name on supporters’ lips.

The 19-year-old arrived during the January transfer window on loan from Manchester United.

He is a highly-rated member of the academy at Old Trafford and was sent on loan to Watford at the start of 2020/21.

A change of manager at Vicarage Road saw him fall out of favour and United were keen to recall him and allow Forest to take him.

He has been a revelation since checking on Trentside, adding some real class to the midfield.

Garner was handed a rest in Tuesday’s victory over Rotherham United and returned to the team last night.

He oozed class in the midfield engine room and gave Forest a foothold with his first senior goal.

His performance warranted the Reds getting three points and he will be a big player between now and the end of the campaign.

Following last night’s performance, supporters took to Twitter to rave about his latest display.

Here is what Forest fans had to say about Garner.
