Detlef Esapa Osong fired a stunning hat-trick for the Nottingham Forest under-18 outfit as they beat Wigan Athletic 3-2.
The game which took place at the Nigel Doughty Academy proved an entertaining affair from the off.
A win for Gareth Holmes’ men saw the form book go out of the window with the Latics losing for the first time in 2021.
Osong captured the hearts of Forest supporters on Twitter for his second of three goals which proved an audacious piece of trickery.
Following a cross from the right-wing he back-heeled the ball into the net over his head.
Each of his three strikes were good but it was the second one which saw supporters lose their minds.
Information on Osong is pretty tricky to find.
He is yet to have a profile on the club’s official website and could be new into the academy.
With a few more goals akin to his three on Saturday, however, he’ll quickly become a household name.
Following his moment of brilliance at the academy yesterday morning, supporters were keen to rave about the youngster on Twitter.
