Nottingham Forest centre back Joe Worrall believes the Reds have missed an opportunity in their recent 1-0 defeat away at Watford, believing the Hornets were there for the taking.
Adam Masina scored the only goal of the game, which came about after Ismalia Sarr beat Gaetan Bong far too easily while Anthony Knockaert didn’t track Masina’s run.
Otherwise, Forest keeper Brice Samba didn’t really have that much to do, with Watford looking tidy without actually doing much – an Andre Gray header in the first half perhaps their only other notable effort.
While Worrall has been impressed by Watford’s form this year, he felt they weren’t that good on the day and Forest should’ve made the most of it.

“We came to Watford who went into the automatic places with this win, but I didn’t think much of them,” Worrall said to the Forest website.
“They obviously have some good players, but I don’t think they were firing on all cylinders.
“I’ve watched them before this season and I have been impressed, but today I think they were a little bit under par and those are the chances that we have to take.
“If we are going to go to Watford, they are going to have play poorly for us to get something and they didn’t play great today and we couldn’t capitalise on it.”

Next up for Forest is Reading as they have now started their second run of the season against the top sides in the league, with games against Norwich City, Brentford and Cardiff City to come.
Forest’s situation is still fairly perilous, with the Reds eight points clear of the drop but having played three games more than Rotherham United, who occupy 22nd.
However, Worrall isn’t too fussed about who Forest play, it’s more about how they perform themselves as ultimately, they hold the key to their survival.

“We can all look at who we are playing and we can say that we are playing against the so-called better teams in the league, but it doesn’t really matter who we are playing, we have to concentrate on ourselves.
“The manager is very much of the same opinion, we have to focus on what we can do to control the game.
“We need to stamp our authority on the game, we need to run hard and work hard and we need to score some goals, that is what is missing at the moment.”
