Nottingham Forest man Ryan Yates has delivered the one millionth food parcel as part of the EFL’s ongoing community work.
The constitution has made it their mission to support those in need during the ongoing global pandemic.
It’s a year to the day since it was announced that football in England was being curtailed, with the country set to go into lockdown.
The one millionth parcel was delivered earlier this week, with all 72 EFL clubs helping out during the past 12 months.

Yates, 23, delivered the milestone parcel to a resident in Beeston who had struggled as a single parent during these unprecedented times.
The Forest maestro has spoken of his pride at making the millionth delivery.
He told the EFL official website: “It’s been a tough year for all of us, especially being separated from loved ones, but much harder for people struggling to put food on the table.
“At Forest, we’ve been doing so much to help those in need. Players and staff have been rolling their sleeves up and doing their bit.
“It’s an inspiration to meet everyone today and deliver the one-millionth food parcel on behalf of all the EFL clubs.”
EFL Chairman Rick Parry has also spoken out after the significant milestone was reached.
He said: “Off the pitch football has never gone away.
“Despite facing significant financial challenges in an uncertain economic landscape, all 72 EFL clubs and club community organisations have stepped up to help without hesitation.”
Off-field work is step in the right direction for Forest
On the green bit, the Reds have endured a miserable campaign – and they’re missing the fan base considerably.
There is now light at the end of the tunnel it would seem in that respect and supporters can dream of clanking through turnstiles once more.

The pandemic has seen plenty of people lose jobs and subsequently struggle to make ends meet.
Forest’s community work has been admirable and long may this arm of the football club continue even when normality has been resumed.
