Nottingham Forest welcomed back Scott McKenna into their defensive ranks yesterday.
The 1-1 draw with Reading was the defender’s first game for the Reds since a 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough in January.
McKenna also wore the captain’s armband yesterday and supporters raved about his inclusion on Twitter.
The 24-year-old’s return couldn’t have been more timely, with Joe Worrall now out for a few weeks with a cracked rib.
McKenna has proved a decent addition to the Forest ranks and his return will help the team try and stave off relegation.

The Scotland international has played 16 times for the Reds and he’s viewed as integral to Chris Hughton’s ranks.
Forest will need as many key players fit as possible in their run in and having McKenna back is a welcome boost.
Following his performance in yesterday’s draw, we looked at what the Forest fan base was saying about the man with 17 international caps.
McKenna and Worrall are a dream ticket

He had a good game especially considering he’d been out injured for 2 months.

Great to see Scott McKenna back

The equaliser was harder to take with the upcoming fixtures. Need to concentrate on what we did well today. Attacking-wise we were ok for two thirds of the game (15 attempts) and it is a boost to have McKenna back to soften the blow losing Worrall.#nffc

Probably showed a couple of moments of lack of sharpness, where his man got infant of him. But still performed well.

Hope we can keep him fit, because he's brill. Worrall will be gone in the summer so we need his dominance and example at the back.
