Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Bristol City on Saturday with Lyle Taylor once again on the bench for the Reds.
Only seven players have made more appearances from the bench that Taylor in the Championship this season.
Yesterday, he nearly didn’t make Chris Hughton’s 20-man squad at all.
The 31-year-old was set to be left in Nottingham but a late injury to Sammy Ameobi meant a familiar place among the substitutes for the striker.
Taylor has scored five goals in all competitions for the Reds this season. He has, however, found opportunities hard to come by.
