Lewis Grabban stepped up to score a penalty in the eighth minute of added time last night as Nottingham Forest drew with Birmingham City.
After the game, supporters reacted on Twitter, giving praise to the Forest talisman for the composure he showed so late on.
Make no bones about it though, this wasn’t a good performance from the Reds. Birmingham were better throughout and should have won at a canter.
Lee Bowyer’s men took the lead in the in the 49th minute when Marc Roberts headed home at the far post following a corner.
The Blues continues to press and but for a couple of saves from Brice Samba, they’d have been out of sight.
Instead, their profligacy ensured Forest stayed in the game and when Scott McKenna was fouled deep into stoppage time, Grabban stepped up.
He gets a lot of stick from supporters does the man who scored 20 goals last season. The former Aston Villa man showed nerves of steel though to fire past Neil Etheridge.
Rather embarrassingly, Grabban has now edged above own goals as Forest’s top scorer for the 2020/21 campaign.
Afterwards, supporters reacted and here’s what they had to say about the Forest striker.
