Nottingham Forest take on Stoke City this afternoon looking to finally complete their survival mission.

Wednesday’s draw with Birmingham has edged Forest to 50 points but with Rotherham holding games in hand, the job isn’t yet complete.

Chris Hughton knows that the job isn’t yet done and will be desperate to claim one more victory.

Finishing the season with a flourish would bode well going into the summer, when the Forest boss faces a crucial period.

Ahead of today’s game we look at how Hughton might line his team up today.

In goal and back four

Brice Samba was impressive on Wednesday and will keep his place between the posts.

There could be one change at full-back. Yuri Ribeiro has sat out the last few games and might come in to allow Tyler Blackett a rest.

Cyrus Christie should start on the right-hand side of the back four.

At centre-back, Scott McKenna was covered in blood after winning Forest’s penalty in midweek.

He should recover though to partner Joe Worrall in the back four.

Midfield

Ryan Yates didn’t have his best game in midweek and could drop out here.

In truth, James Garner wasn’t at his best either but his quality has been evident since he arrived on loan from Manchester United.

Cafu was sorely missed on Wednesday at Birmingham and could get the chance to start this afternoon.

In attack

Alex Mighten was extremely quiet in midweek but it seems likely that he will keep his place.

So too will Filip Krovinovic who looks set to operate as the No.10 once more.

Anthony Knockaert came off the bench in midweek and he could start in place of Luke Freeman today.

Lewis Grabban fired himself to the top of Forest’s scoring charts with his last-gasp penalty on Wednesday and should replace Lyle Taylor today.

Here is how Forest’s team could look this afternoon:
