Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday yesterday as the Owls took one step into League One.
Forest missed a penalty on the stroke of half-time with Keiren Westwood saving Lewis Grabban’s tame effort.
The Reds were the better side throughout the contest and after the game, supporters raved about Scott McKenna on Twitter.
The Scotland international has been in fine form throughout the campaign and is many supporters’ pick for Player of the Season.
McKenna has looked the part since checking in from Aberdeen during the summer, featuring in 25 games for the Reds.
The 24-year-old will hope to be in the Scotland squad to play at the European Championships in the summer and his form certainly warrants a call up.
Forest have improved considerably at the back under Chris Hughton and McKenna is an instrumental part of the defensive unit.
Keeping Joe Worrall at the club might prove tricky in the summer but in McKenna, Forest have a more than capable deputy.
