Paul Taylor from The Athletic claimed last week that James Garner remains on Nottingham Forest’s radar ahead of next season.
That will be music to the ears of Reds supporters who have enjoyed watching the Manchester United in action from afar.
With the return of fans likely to be on the cards for next season, the Forest support will relish the chance to see Garner when the turnstiles reopen.
A lot will depend on how United view his development. They must, however, be delighted with the progress he has made at Forest and that could bode well.
The 20-year-old has played 19 games for the Reds, scoring three goals and featuring regularly under Chris Hughton.
He spent the first half of the season on loan at Watford but saw his temporary stint ended in January.
Now, given the small update from the latest report, United fans have been reacting on Twitter.
It seems the jury is out over whether or not Garner should be handed a chance to impress at Old Trafford next season.
United are likely to be in the Champions League next season and as a result, that could tempt them into another loan for Garner.
We looked at what Red Devils supporters were saying following the latest update from The Athletic.
