Nottingham Forest chief executive Ioannis Vrentzos is considering his position at the club amid a potential reshuffle, according to a report by The Athletic.

The senior figure has come under fire from supporters for his day-to-day running of the football club.

He is a well-respected figure in the eyes of the club’s owner Evangelos Marinakis and the report claims he could stay at the City Ground.

Vrentzos is based in Nottingham but currently spends a lot of time in Athens, despite being the man tasked with running the club on a daily basis.

The talk is that he could now return to Greece to take up another role within the Marinakis empire and wave goodbye to Forest completely.

Another suggested option seems to be that he continues in a senior position but adapts his role which would mean spending more time away from the City Ground.

The news which broke yesterday, is music to the ears of supporters and they’ve been reacting on Twitter.

It would seem as though the consensus is that as soon as he is gone from the club the better, given his antics in recent years.

Here is what the fan base had to say regarding the possibility of Vrentzos changing his role – or even walking away completely.
