Nottingham Forest let Marcus McGuane join Oxford on a permanent deal yesterday – and it’s fair to say supporters aren’t impressed.
The 22-year-old departs having failed to make a first-team appearance for the Reds.
He signed from Barcelona in February 2020 and was loaned to Oxford prior to the 2020/21 campaign.
It was at the Kassam Stadium where he began flexing his credentials, playing 20 times before injury curtailed his season.

Now he’s signed for Karl Robinson’s team on a permanent basis and will look to kick-start his professional career.
McGuane looked like an exciting addition on the face of things when he checked in at the City Ground.
Now, some supporters feel short-changed with plenty believing he was capable of making an impact in Chris Hughton’s team.
Clearly someone at the club doesn’t feel he was capable of playing regular football in the Championship and sanctioned his departure.
Following yesterday’s news, supporters took to Twitter to vent their frustrations at the club’s decision.
Here is what supporters had to say about McGuane exiting the club.
