Back in September, Nottingham Forest signed Harry Arter and supporters lost their minds at such a stunning signing.
Fast forward just eight months and it’s abundantly clear that the fan base misjudged the situation.
Arter managed just 14 appearances for the Reds during the 2020/21 campaign and wasn’t even registered for the second half of the season.
The midfielder never really looked match fit and a couple of injuries early on did stunt his progress.

Arter looked a patch of the player who had played so well for Fulham at the back end of the 2019/20 campaign; when Scott Parker’s men won the play-offs.
The Republic of Ireland international was linked with a move away from the City Ground in January.
With Chris Hughton showing no signs of utilising him, surely Forest will try and move him on during the summer transfer window.
At 31, however, and likely to be on a sizeable wage at the City Ground, offloading him won’t come easy.
Arter also has two years to run on his contract and it’ll be interesting to see whether Forest can find a new club for him.
Now the dust is settling on the 2020/21 campaign, we looked back at some of the supporter comments from when Arter signed.
It’s fair to say that plenty of the Forest contingency didn’t quite get it right regarding the signing of Arter.
Great singing but we couldn’t afford his wages the other day but I like it welcome Harry
