Nottingham Forest duo rave about Brennan Johnson on Instagram

Brennan Johnson helped Lincoln beat Sunderland 2-0 last night in the League One play-offs – and afterwards, he received praise from a pair of Nottingham Forest stars.

The 19-year-old forward scored the second goal for the Imps as they took a giant step towards the Wembley final.

Johnson has now scored 13 goals and claimed 13 assists during the 2020/21 campaign, with his loan at the Imps proving extremely fruitful.

After last night’s game he took to Instagram to post a positive message for the Lincoln supporter ahead of the second leg.

Joe Lolley and Alex Mighten were buzzing for their teammate and responded with messages of support.

Johnson has been in splendid form during 2020/21 and Forest fans were massively excited watching him in action last night.

The versatile forward shone as the Imps beat Lee Johnson’s team and a play-off final berth is now within their grasp.

Johnson has played eight times in the Garibaldi but is yet to really get a proper chance to star at the City Ground.

His current loan spell will have certainly caught the eye of Chris Hughton and the challenge for him is to decide where to use him next season.

It seems almost guaranteed that Johnson will be part of the boss’ plans next season and he could take the Championship by storm.

First Johnson has a promotion mission to complete and helping Lincoln into the second tier would be a superb feat.

The youngster has been linked with a move away from Forest previously and that really would be a massive blow.

Johnson looks set for great things and the prospect of seeing him in the Reds team next season really is mouthwatering.
