Nottingham Forest youngster Brennan Johnson enjoyed a memorable night with loan club Lincoln City last night.
The Imps took a giant step towards the League One play-off final with a 2-0 first leg victory over Sunderland.
Johnson stuck the seal on the victory last night, scoring an opportunistic goal after closing down the Black Cats’ goalkeeper.
It was the 13th goal of the campaign for the 19-year-old and Forest fans were buzzing for him after the game.
Johnson’s loan spell has proved fruitful. He has scored 13 goals and claimed 13 assists, with the Imps hoping to secure a place in the Championship next season.
As a teenager there is plenty of time for the youngster to continue his development and supporters hope to see him in the Garibaldi next season.
The academy graduate boasts eight appearances for Forest to his name; although he’s yet to be given a proper City Ground chance.
Following his heroics last night, supporters reacted on Twitter. It would seem as though there will be riots on the streets of Trent Bridge if Johnson isn’t included next season!
