Nottingham Forest are close to their first signing of the summer. Football Insider claim that Emiliano Marcondes is now in talks with the Reds over a move.
The 26-year-old helped the Bees into the Premier League last season. His goal in the Play-Off Final put the seal on a famous win.
It wasn’t enough to earn him an extension though. Marcondes was one of three first-team players not offered a new contract.

He played 40 times during 2020/21, starting eight games in Thomas Frank’s team. The versatile midfielder scored three goals and claimed three assists.
Now, with a move to Forest looking to be on the cards, supporters have been reacting to the news on Twitter.
Marcondes can play as a conventional midfielder or as a No.10. He stands at 6ft tall and played in both games against Forest during 2020/21
He looks like the type of player that would allow Forest to tweak their system in-game. His passing is incisive and he can prove a real nuisance around the penalty area.
Marcondes to Forest: Supporters keen to get deal over the line
Following today’s news, the Reds fan base have been taking time to react on Twitter to the news. It seems pretty conclusive that plenty would welcome the Danish midfielder at the club.
Marcondes has done a decent job at Brentford. In helping the club to the Premier League, he will go down as a cult hero at the West London-based outfit.

The proof will of course be in the performances, but if he does come in, it would represent a strong start to the summer transfer window.
Certainly the vast majority of supporters think so. They’ve taken to Twitter this afternoon to discuss the latest reports.
It seems as though he’d be welcomed on Trentside, with plenty hoping Chris Hughton can get his man.
