Nottingham Forest are in talks with the representatives of Alassane Ndao over a move to the City Ground, according to Turkish reports.

The versatile winger currently plays for Karagumruk in the Turkish top-flight and has also been a target for Olympiacos in the past.

Forest are now discussing a deal with the player’s representatives, with the club keen to source new wingers this summer.

Boss Chris Hughton has made no secret of his desire to sign more attackers during the transfer window.

It is thought that the player is valued around the £4 million mark and Forest could need to stump up some cash to sign him.

It has been claimed that his current club will be tempted to accept less than their valuation. A report suggests, Forest will pay £1.7 million for the player.

Ndao enjoyed a quality 2020/21 campaign. He scored 11 goals and claimed nine assists from his 40 appearances in all competitions.

The Senegalese star largely played on the right-wing, although he can operate as a number 10 or on the left flank too.

Forest allowed Sammy Ameobi to leave during the summer. Joe Lolley now has Alex Mighten and Brennan Johnson for competition out wide.

Ndao is an intriguing target for Forest

This seems like the sort of target that the Reds will perhaps pursue with Dane Murphy in the CEO role. He openly doesn’t like to sign players over the age of 25 for a transfer fee.

At 24 the speedster has plenty of time to continue his development and he could be tailor-made for English football.

Forest would certainly benefit from another winger and Ndao would complement the squad nicely.

Ndao has come through the youth ranks at Karagumruk but he could be on the move this summer.

Forest could certainly use his pace to their advantage and he’d be an interesting addition to the Reds ranks.
