Nottingham Forest were on the wrong end of a spirited comeback by Crewe, with the League One outfit scoring twice in the last 15 minutes to claim a 2-2 draw.
Brennan Johnson had fired the Reds into the lead with two well-taken goals either side of the half-time interval.
It was the youngster who earned a lot of the plaudits, although another player also caught the eye.
Jack Colback barely featured under Chris Hughton for Forest last season. He struggled having spent the year previous out injured and didn’t really get a run of games.

The midfielder has featured prominently during the pre-season campaign though and looks set for a resurgence during 2021/22.
Colback was once again in action at Crewe and his performance drew some praise from the club’s supporters.
In total, Colback has made 72 appearances for Forest, scoring four goals and claiming two assists. It’s his tenacity in the midfield engine room that earns him the most praise, however.
Following yesterday’s performance, some supporters took to Twitter to mention Colback in a positive sense.
We had a look at what was being said as the Forest midfielder once again stole the show with a fine performance.
Proved he's a key player before and you only need to look at Watson to see what can happen.

Colback and Garner would be ideal for me and I was wanting to see it last season

He seems to be enjoying himself at the moment, if he can carry it on into the league then yeah I agree

Form is temporary but class is permanent. Guy's quality. Get him fully fit, keep him fully fit and he's as good as anyone in this division in that role

Been saying this .. he is the best CDM at the club and if stays fit will be huge for us ... A fit colback and Lolley are essentially like new signings for us
