It was a disappointing afternoon on Saturday as Forest slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth at the City Ground. Afterwards, however, Jordi Osei-Tutu came in for some praise after marking his debut with a Man of the Match performance.

The Reds equalised David Brooks’ goal early in the second half when Scott McKenna powered home a header. Philip Billing had the last laugh though, scoring a simple goal to give the Cherries all three points.

Forest have some serious work to do. They’ve now lost twice in as many league matches and sit without a point after two games of the campaign. In Osei-Tutu, however, they do have a pretty solid right-back.

He actually operated at left-back on Saturday. Forest have been dealt a strange hand in that area of the pitch. Three left-backs have been allowed to leave the club, whilst Gaetan Bong is now suspended for three matches.

Osei-Tutu is a well-respected member of the Arsenal academy. He has spent the last two seasons out on loan with VfL Bochum and Cardiff City. His first loan in Germany proved impressive, although he struggled with injuries at the Bluebirds.

Forest fans impressed with Osei-Tutu

Although pretty clear that he’s a right-back, Osei-Tutu certainly played well on the opposite side of the pitch against Bournemouth at the weekend.

It sounds easy to say but boss Hughton has already looked liked he’s picked up a real gem and some fans would agree.

He may have only played 90 minutes for his new club but already, some supporters have been questioning whether or not he could be signed permanently.

After a strong weekend display, we looked at what Forest fans were saying on Twitter about Arsenal youngster Osei-Tutu.
