Nottingham Forest lost 4-0 to Premier League outfit Wolves. The Reds were steamrolled by the top-flight outfit who never got out of first gear. Following the game, Forest fans did reserve praise for Ethan Horvath.

The 26-year-old checked in at the City Ground during the close season. He arrived on a free transfer having left Club Brugge at the end of 2020/21.

During his time with the Belgian outfit, he made 64 appearances, keeping 12 clean sheets and proving largely impressive. He has also collected seven caps for his country during his career.

Horvath looks like playing second fiddle during the league campaign this term. Brice Samba has started all four games in the Championship but has arguably made mistakes in all of them.

All the USA international can do is continue taking his chances when they arise. He certainly did that during tonight’s clash and fans were happy with his efforts.

Wolves won the game thanks to goals from Romain Saiss, Daniel Podence, Francisco Trincao and Morgan Gibbs-White. In truth, it was a cakewalk and Forest once again played in an ultra-defensive manner.

What have Forest fans said about Horvath?

Quite simply, the majority think he should be starting against Derby on Saturday. Hughton hasn’t claimed a league point so far this season and he has to try something.

Forest did ship four against Wolves but without the efforts of Horvath in the first half it would have been a far bigger margin of victory.

Samba hasn’t been without fault this season and in truth, a game on the bench might do him some good.

Whether that change will be made for the Derby game, however, remains to be seen. Nonetheless, supporters were happy with the efforts of Horvath this evening and here is what they said on Twitter.
