Alexander Milosevic was a popular figure during his time at Nottingham Forest. He was signed by Martin O’Neill on a short-term deal in 2019 and looked like an exceptional defender.
Now, he’s busy playing in Sweden for AIK. After leaving Forest, he struggled to get himself hooked up with a new club and spent several months without a contract.
Milosevic has played for AIK previously. Prior to joining the Reds, he made over 100 appearances for the club and is now back.
During the current campaign, he has made 14 appearances, scoring twice and on Sunday he had Forest fans reminiscing.
What has got the Forest fans talking?
During the weekend’s clash with Hacken, he made a superb last-ditch tackle with the score at 1-0 to AIK. With Forest struggling for a clean sheet at the moment, it reminded supporters of better times.
Milosevic played 12 times for Forest, scoring a solitary goal during a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.
He was then released just after the 2019/20 campaign had begun. The Swede fell behind Joe Worrall in the pecking order after his loan from Rangers and Tobias Figueiredo. Forest also had Michael Dawson in their ranks too.
Would Milosevic be welcome back at Forest?
He probably would, to be honest, although the chances are non-existent. AIK is now Milosevic’s home and it’d be no surprise to see the 29-year-old finish his playing career at the club.
That hasn’t stopped the Forest fans from wondering what might have been though. Lamouchi chose to offload him and plenty feel that remains a bad decision.
Following his heroics on Sunday, here is what the Reds fan base had to say regarding Milosevic in action for his current club.
