Nottingham Forest have sold Jordan Gabriel to Blackpool for £750,000, the club has confirmed this morning. The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with the Tangerines, helping them reach the Championship via the League One play-offs.

Gabriel’s last outing in a Forest shirt came in Saturday’s draw at Derby. He played the full 90 minutes in three of the team’s five league fixtures this season. The academy graduate was sent off against Blackburn and subsequently missed the trip to Stoke.

The right-back is likely to be replaced at Forest by Mohamed Drager. He will check in from Olympiacos and provide competition for Jordi Osei-Tutu who is currently nursing an injury.

Gabriel starred under Neil Critchley last season. He made 35 appearances for the club, scoring once and registering one assist. The Forest academy graduate has signed a four-year deal with Blackpool, with the option of an additional 12 months.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

This departure does leave Forest somewhat short. Drager’s arrival will help that, however. It’s expected that he’ll be announced later today in a deal that could see him sign a permanent City Ground contract.
